Rutilated Smoky Quartz 10.4 Inch 11.4kg Natural Crystal - Brazil
A substantial Brazilian smoky quartz crystal with dense golden rutile suspended throughout the interior. Multiple terminations rise from the crown of the piece, while broad natural faces reveal layers of intersecting rutile needles, and complex growth structures within the crystal. The smoky quartz body carries a deep translucent brown tone adding a lovely internal contrast with the flashes of warm gold from the rutile. Fine horizontal growth lines and stepped formation patterns remain visible across several faces, giving the piece a distinctly mineralogical character. The combination of sculptural presence and exceptional internal detail make this an impressive display specimen, as well as an attractive a work of natural art. Recently released from a private collection.
