Orthoceras are an extinct genus of cephalopod mollusks that lived during the Ordovician Period, roughly 400 million years ago. These ancient fossils have been polished into round stone boxes, perfect for housing other small stones, treasures, or keepsakes.

Due to the nature of this being a natural material, each piece is unique and will vary slightly from the box pictured both in color and in the positioning of the fossils within the host rock. Each box is a unique work of art that we hand select and will generally be within .1" of the listed dimensions.
