Thankfully, we think dinosaurs are awesome - we’ve even had a few in the gallery. 😉 For us, the only way to truly honor the stones that we’re lucky enough to work with is to craft settings for them with the same level of care, dedication, and skill that it took for the earth to create them. Each piece we make carries a story, from the formation of the stone to its careful setting in silver or gold, ready to be worn and remembered.
Materials with Meaning
All of our jewelry starts with a stone. Our owner, Robin Banchik, has been sourcing unique gemstones for her creations since 1987. She has an eye not only for rare and beautiful stones, but also for how to showcase their individuality through thoughtful design and unexpected combinations. We pride ourselves on being able to work with materials that are often overlooked or difficult to set, giving them the care and attention they deserve. Each stone is hand selected from a range of natural, cut, and polished stones, ensuring there are no exact duplicates and no mass production.
The Hands Behind the Work
When we say “handcrafted,” we mean there’s a real person, right here in our gallery, melting down loose casting grain to create gold and silver ingots, which are then shaped into the components needed for each piece. Every stage of the process happens in-house. If you happen to stop by, don’t be surprised if you hear the sharp ring of the jeweler’s hammer echoing through the space. That’s just the sound of something beautiful in the making. ✨
